MDF Usage in Construction Industry

Wall Alignment and Preparation for Final Finish.

In construction sector 3-8 mm MDF panels are used for wall and ceiling surfaces. MDF panels are of higher quality (strength, soundproof) and price to compare to gypsum plasterboard. MDF/HDF panels could be used as basis for covering by wall paper or paint as well as for finished decoration covering if laminated.  Unlike gypsum plasterboard, thin MDF/HDF panels could be bended giving the walls cylindrical shape. HDF panels are very strong and therefore could be used for the decoration of large spaces with minimum supporting elements expediting the assembly or installation. Besides, MDF possesses high thermal and acoustic insulation: acoustic insulation factor of the plywood is 20 dB to compare with 24 dB of MDF. MDF panels of 12 mm thickness are equal to the brick wall of 150 mm and reinforced concrete panel of 260 mm thickness.

Bend parts for room interior

Fabrication of doors (for finishing by decorative film, thin veneer or painting, etc.

•  MDF doors from the point of view of their performance characterictics outstrip the traditional wood  doors guaranteeing better moisture resistance and higher resistance to deformation. The MDF door is a glued nog framework covered by shockproof MDF. Sanded MDF itself could be covered on top by thin veneer sheet or the MDF panel is being painted. Each door panel is completed with doorframe with rubber sealant and MDF platbands or massive nogs covered by natural thin veneer of fine wood.
Ceiling panels

•  MDF panels could be easily transformed into suspended ceiling in restaurants, cafes, hotels and shops. Thanks to the perforation ventilating systems and diffusion cell could be placed behind the panels to avoid the spoiling of room interior.

T-shaped beams made of MDF for monolithic construction

The core of the beam for the casing of the floor decks used in monolithic construction could be made of 24 mm thickness MDF which makes the construction cheaper. The splicing of the beam is done by the waterproof glue and the beam is painted by acrylic waterproof paint.

Production of shelves, racks, stands, shop-windows etc. to equip warehouses and shops.

MDF is widely used for the arrangement of the warehouses: shelves, racks and stands made of MDF are very strong, durable and solid, they have even surface, don’t sag and buckle, have higher fire protection to compare with common wood or chipboard. We could offer longer MDF of 3660 mm to fabricate shelves and racks without additional joints. MDF is also used for the wall covering in warehouses and shops.
